The outer six drawers can be accessed when the side doors are opened. The secretaire sides have campaign handles, complemented by similar but smaller versions to the drawer fronts. Constructed in mahogany colour stained beech.
The drawer dividers and drawer linings are pine. Fitted with 9 drawers over a shallow storage space. The drawers have the original lining in yellow with regency style mesh design in gold.
Date: Late Victorian or early 20th Century. Condition: Good structural and functional condition. It appears to have had a refinish in French polish. The lower left hand side of the front face has numerous shallow scuff marks and the exterior has minor dings, dents, scuffs and scrapes elsewhere - to be expected of a portable item!
